Wednesday night Justin and I headed over to my parents house for our second Christmas meeting. Originally Nicole and I were going to go to aqua fit, but I could tell the meeting was going to take longer than I had anticipated, so next week we're back on track! My mum made both kinds of clam chowder (cream and tomatoe based) and hot dogs. It was quite the combination! I had two delicious bowls of soup, and loved every bite. Ever since Justin and I went to San Fransisco I've been craving clam chowder - and I've also been begging my mum to make it!
We had to have our Christmas lists submitted and my mum typed everything up. My list had two pictures to accompany it. It's funny, last year I just knew (it's the Blizzard thing) that Bradley drew my name, so I made the list stuff he could easily access off the internet. This year I have no idea who got my name, but I'm convinced it was either my dad or Justin. I figured in order to get what I wanted it would be smarter for me to have pictures to make my gifts clear.
Number four is bought, wrapped and ready to go! I also had to work hard for number six, and am still waiting on a part of it before it can be wrapped up.
Last night we went out for supper to a new restaraunt in town: 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. Earlier in the week the salesmen had gotten food from there and I sampled some of the tasty french fries. It's kind of funny how they have unshelled peanuts for customers to munch on (the oil they fry with is peanut oil), the shells are strewen about the place! Our ratings: Justin thinks the burger has potential but he's had better fries; I love the fries (although obviously better with gravy - or in a poutine), and thought the pickles made the burger!
After our meal we went to Walmart, and bought two Garth Brooks CDs that I don't have (The Change and Scarecrow) and the new Robin Williams DVD - which we watched last night. While shopping for the discs Justin picked up the DVD, and I said I'd already watched it before. He looked at me quizically and asked when. Then I got quite and said before you, with someone else. We then realized it was the "Live On Broadway" one that I had seen. But, while we were at my parents Wednesday, Justin and I were figuring out how long we've been together, and how long we've been living with each other. Sometimes five years seems like it's too short of a time: only five years - it seems it must be longer. We've been living together for five years, and dating for five and a half. My mum then said Justin's been with me for a fifth of my life - now that makes it seem like a long time!
